The BioFlux 1000 provides a high content screening platform for running physiologically-relevant shear flow assays. The fully-integrated and automated system delivers high resolution microscopy data with the ultimate in throughput, convenience and flexibility.
The BioFlux 1000 System incorporates Fluxion’s proprietary Well Plate Microfluidic™ technology with an automated microscopy system to enable high throughput shear flow assays. It offers the biological relevance of a laminar flow cell, with the throughput and convenience of standard microplates. The fully-integrated system comes complete with all the tools necessary to generate your data quickly and reliably.

BioFlux 1000 System Overview
BioFlux 1000 is a fully-integrated high content screening platform for bridging the gap between in vitro and in vivo experiments. It integrates a high performance microscopy workstation with the BioFlux electropneumatic pumping system for controlling shear flow. The BioFlux 1000 software offers single point control for designing experiments, acquiring images and analyzing data.

- BioFlux 1000 well plate interface (24-well or 48-well)
- BioFlux 1000 software (experimental control, hardware control, image acquisition/analysis)
- Inverted microscope and objectives
- CCD camera
- Customized automated stage (linear encoded, 0.1µm resolution)

BioFlux enables a wide variety of cell-based assays in the fields of immunology, vascular biology, microbiology, cancer research, stem cells, and more. Many of these applications benefit from the ability to create a physiologically-relevant shear flow profile, such as platelet adhesion, cell adhesion, rolling velocity, transmigration and stem cell differentiation. Other applications can benefit from the ability to introduce compounds in a time-resolved and well-controlled manner, such as wound healing, pharmacology and neurite-outgrowth assays.
